Glow Tonic, Exfoliating Toner

Hey All!

I have been on a skincare BINGE! I am literally vomiting (but really inhaling) all the goodness for my skin. Coincidentally, I received a delightful package today from Chelsea, a marketing director with Pixi By Petra, which includes the product I am reviewing for you now.

Pixi is a brand exclusively sold at Target that launched fifteen years ago in London.

The brand is owned and developed by Petra Strand, a makeup artist and product developer.

Their philosophy is bring out your natural beauty with fuss-free products.

GLOW TONIC is an exfoliating toner that claims it:

Evens out skin tone for a brighter, clearer complexion.

Gently exfoliates to remove dead skin cells, revealing healthy glowing skin.

Skin texture looks and feels smoother.

Botanical extracts soothe sensitive skin.

Use AM and PM after cleansing

Saturate a cotton pad with the tonic an sweep across face, neck, and décolletage

Before using Glow Tonic this afternoon, I rinsed my makeup off with this cleansing oil from L’Occitane. This was also the first time I used this product and also a first to cleansing oil, period. I typically wipe my makeup off with a pre-moistened towelette and then cleanse the remaining off with a cleanser. This cleansing oil, though, it’s superb. I used clean dry hands, took two pumps of this awesomeness and rub my foundation and eye makeup off. I added water and it turned milky and gently removed all. the. makeups. OFF. It was quite astonishing. Its scent is soft of Shea.
After wiping the Glow Tonic on my face I felt my face breathing. Do you know what I mean? It smelled of soft aloe vera. My skin did feel smoother but I need to continue using this more for the ‘clinically proven results.’ I applied moisturizer pictured below – I wrote a review on this Orgins Gin-Zing moisturizer two posts ago. I love it.

GLOW TONIC can be found at your local Target stores or you can visit Pixi Beauty online here. The new, smaller, cuter version, and travel-friendly 100ml bottle in this review retails for $15. There is a larger bottle that retails for $29 but I cannot find the volume amount. Pixi Beauty is all about that GLOW and I look forward to trying more of their beauty line.

Here is a collective haul picture randomly sitting during this review.

Have a great night from LA

Xx, Gigi

  1. How did you start getting pr material from companies? How long was your blog up for before companies started sending you pr materials to test for them? How does that happen? Could you pls let a newer blogger know. I would really love to start to get some pr materials to test for my blog. Is there a way to make that happen? Is there anyone to contact? Thanks!! I really like your blog. How long has it been up? What camera do you use? Thanks for your support! Cynthia

    1. Hi Cynthia! I believe my blog has been up for at least 5-6 months. I have connected this blog to my instagram account (typically people start the other way around?). I have received products via instagram and have been very blessed!
