DOSE OF COLORS – The shade Truffle was an instant favorite of mine right when I applied it onto my lips. This vegan, cruelty-free, matte liquid lipstick released mid-month. I own four shades from this company and I am an avid fan of their liquid lipsticks. The texture is velvety soft with respectable lasting power. It glides on easily, without fragrance. I was first introduced to this company during my second visit to IMATS in Los Angeles earlier this year and look forward to more from them in the seasons to come. For swatches, you can visit my blog post previous to this one here.
LASHES IN A BOX – The style in this post is number 17. What I enjoy most about these lashes is that they are extremely flexible and easy to work with (apply). This style in particular is of the “wispy” family. I have gone through Ardell’s Demi wispies and other brands of the like. Lashes In A Box has made it’s way to my number one style Wipsies. For more photos with comparible brands, you can visit my blog post here.
GIVENCHY + CHANEL – For the ultimate glow, I have combined two products. Givenchy’s Prisme Libre in number 7, Voile Rose, is a matte loose powder that combines four shades to enhance radiance. I first set my foundation with this loose powder and follow it with Chanel’s Les Beiges (Healthy Glow) in shade Mariniere (number one) with a large powder brush. Both of these products combined create thee beautiful harmony of radiance and smoothness to my canvas. I love them – it’s the powder couple in my eyes!
PIXI BEAUTY – The Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner **hands in the air** has been a favorite addition to my nightly skin routine. I feel as though my skin is breathing after application. My skin feels super soft afterwards and when I wake in the morning my skin reveals a natural glow. I cannot thank this company enough for this product. I wrote a blog post about Glow Tonic a few weeks back and you can visit the link here if you are interested.
GIORGIO ARMANI + MAC COSMETICS – I watched You-Tuber Samantha last week use Armani’s Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadow number 15 and was immediately intrigued. I have been using it for the last five days. I have used it alone and it is fantastic. It is like silk and reminds me of ColourPop eyeshadows BUT BETTER. The texture is impeccable as is the lasting power (I wore it for my twelve-hour work shift, it did not crease or budge). So as I played with this more it reminded me of MAC’s Mineralize eye shadow in Gilt By Association and BOOM – together they worked whimsically for a dramatic coppery, black, smoked-out eye. It was a magical moment!
TWEEZERMAN – The No Mess Mascara Guard and EyeNhance (brow definer/highlighter duo) have been two new favorite tools this month.
- NO MESS MASCARA GUARD is described as “the secret to keeping your mascara on your lashes and off your makeup. It allows you to apply mascara perfectly while protecting freshly applied concealer, powder or makeup around the eye area.” It retails for $10 – you can visit the site directly here. I believe this product is available for purchase at Ulta Beauty, too.
- EYENHANCE BROW DEFINER AND HIGHLIGHT DUO is described as a “dual-ended pencil that features both a universal brow color pencil and highlighter that work together to create a perfectly shaped luminous brow(s).

TOM FORD – Skin Illuminating Powder Duo in 01 Moodlight. This was definitely an impulse buy and I absolutely LOVE it. I don’t think you can tell that I have been using the product to its far right hoping not to disturb the design too much. This duo is perfection and yields a bronzy-silky luminous glow. Amazing.
I hope you enjoyed my monthly favorites!
Happy Sunday to you!
