e.l.f. play beautifully

Hello All! I was gifted a curated collection of products from e.l.f. cosmetics this week. Just this afternoon I was able to experiment with the makeup you will be seeing shortly and to cut it short: it was a lot of fun! I have a full face using the products at the end of this post. Let’s get to the products!

Matte Lip Jumbo Pencil in shade Wine. Described as: pigment rich color that glides on effortlessly and provides long-lasting matte color. Enriched with Vitamin A, C, and E that moisturizes and hydrates lips all day.
Lip Balm in shade Pink. Contains SPF 15 sunscreen. The description reads: relieves and soothes lips with a drench of moisture. Softens lips to prevent and temporarily protect against chapped, cracked, or chafed lips.
Swatches of the above mentioned products under direct sunlight. Wine (matte lip color) is very easy to apply and packed with pigment. I think it is a perfect fall color. Pink (lip balm) is indeed very moisturizing. I feel it did help soften my lips.
Eyeliner and Shadow Stick. This is the liner side on the stick duo. It self sharpens and is an intense black.
The shadow side in Smoke. This is a creamy formula with soft shimmer. Application was very easy. I used a brush to blend it out even further and it did so effortlessly.
Swatches of the eyeliner and shadow stick. This product is description reads: achieve color intensity for your eyes with twist-up ease (no sharpening required). Line eyes for glowing definition and enhance eyes with a soft shimmer color.
Flawless eyeshadow in shade Tantalizing Taupe. I really like this quad! The colors work together seamlessly. There was a lot of fall out but the end result, I think, was fantastic.
Swatches of the Flawless Eyeshadow in Tantalizing Taupe.
I did not use this finishing powder on today’s look as I used a foundation to achieve a non-matte look.
Perfect Finish HD Powder is a new item from e.l.f. It is described as: versatile, translucent pressed finishing powder that sets makeup, reduces shine and slightly mattifies skin. The microfine particles fill in lines and blur imperfections to create a “soft focus” effect on the skin. Designed to be used with high-definition camera technology but also perfect for everyday wear. This compact also comes with a sponge!
Above the dotted line is the blended product and below is not blended.
In the photos: I used the Flawless Eyeshadow quad without the last step (brown liner). I also used the Eyeliner & Duo Stick to darken up the eyes. Left picture is the lip balm in shade Pink. Right photo: Matte lip color in Wine.

Thanks for reading!

Xx, Gigi

    1. Thank you! The eyeliner applies easily/ creamy – making it easy to blend with the other side. I wore this look for 5 hours before washing off. I don’t think the matte lip is drying (I’ve had liquid lipstick suck the life out of my lips) to which this did not do Xx
