Violet Voss Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette Swatches + Thoughts

Hi there and hello, March! Hand and hand with a new month that rolls along swiftly are new makeup products that appear to be flying on board with Spring and Summer makeup collections. We have many to share here on! The first blog post for this month is all about the highly anticipated Instagram release of Violet Voss’s Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette.

Known for their fantastic and affordable false eyelashes (previous blog post here) and cosmetics glitters, Violet Voss has extended their makeup line to liquid matte lipsticks (previous blog post here) and now their first ever eyeshadow palette. I’m very excited to share this with you as I feel the blogging community needs to see more of this cosmetic company.

Some information about the Holy Grail palette:

  • 20 full-sized pans
  • pro quality, pigmented colors
  • cruelty-free
  • launches online March 3rd at 10AM PST
  • coupon code “holygrail10” for $10 off (original value $52)
  • you can visit Violet Voss here to visit them directly
The Holy Grail is housed in a sleek, light-weight palette containing twenty eyeshadows. Eleven shadows are pearl to pressed pigments with fantastic color payoff. With one swipe I achieved stellar results that felt creamy and easy to apply. Eight of the other eyeshadows are matte and compliment the pearl/pressed pigment shadows well.

The inside of the Holy Grail palette. The size of this palette is about the same of an iPad Mini, a wee-bit shorter in length.

In the above photo is a capture under direct sunlight. How charming are the names of these shadows? “Transition” to the first row, second to the last happens to be a terrific tradition color for my light to medium skin.

Below are swatches in direct sunlight:

Final row

Above is a short video of my favorite (second) row.

This palette contains a color variety that can be used for day or night. I think the color selection compliments each other well as they are palettes out there that may seem so overwhelming and redundant in selection. This palette, in short, cuts to the chase and easily allows you to select what shadow you would like to pair with another. I recommend this palette in its entirety.

Much love, Gigi

Thank you Violet Voss for this product to review + share. All opinions + thoughts are my own.
