Hourglass Cosmetics Vanish Foundation Porcelain; Virtual Skin Perfection Event Hourglass Abbot Kinney Venice, California

Hi there! An exciting event I was so happy to attend earlier this month was with Hourglass Cosmetics at the their flagship boutique in Venice California. Hourglass Abbot Kinney first opened its doors in 2014 and is beautifully designed in modern luxury just like their products. This boutique offers makeup classes and makeup services on the mezzanine level as well as complete Hourglass product collections. I was gifted the Vanish Foundation in shade Porcelain that you will be seeing a complete look with shortly. The Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick is available in twenty six shades. It claims to have double the amount of pigment versus traditional foundations for instant full coverage that is twelve hour long wearing and waterproof. The formula also claims to adjust to body temperature to blend into the skin for the smoothest and most seamless finish. The coverage is like a concealer, the fluidity of liquid, and the weightlessness of a powder for “undetectable” full coverage.

Vanish Foundation Brush designed to use with the Vanish Foundation Stick

26  shades bottom to top: FAIR, LIGHT, LIGHT-MEDIUM, MEDIUM, MEDIUM-DEEP, and DEEP

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: I used the Vanish Stick in shade Porcelain (I am medium skin tone) and this was far lighter than my usual. I applied four stripes on my face to the chin, both cheeks and forehead. The foundation blended out effortlessly. This foundation is full coverage and evened out very easily. There was no tugging or heavy blending to distribute this product – it was too easy! I recommend exfoliating the night before use and applying your best moisturizer before application as this product did emphasize some dry spots on my cheeks and smile lines. The foundation melted into my skin after the first two hours without being cakey, but natural. I used MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Pro Sculpting cream palette in shade 30 (medium) to even out my complexion and I think everything worked out just right. If you are a fan of foundation sticks I recommend this to try as it is up to par in my opinion. This foundation retails for $46 and you can click here for purchase.

Some captures of my first use with the Vanish Foundation stick and brush in shade Porcelain. I also used the 1.5mm Gel Liner in shade Ocean Floor (a beautiful dark blue) for eyeliner buffed in with brown eyeshadow.

Much love, Gigi
