Maybelline Master Bronze Highlight Kit Swatch First Impressions

Hi there! I hope you all are well. Maybelline New York has created a very impressive highlight and bronzer palette that claims to be universal and promises high color payoff in one swipe. I have been using this palette for three days now. Please keep reading for the rest of my thoughts. You will be seeing swatches of the Maybelline Master Bronze Highlight Kit shortly.

I have a tan! These swatches are captured outside under direct sunlight. One swipe!
Details: Get a glowing bronze look with Maybelline’s FaceStudio Master Bronze Kit. These universal bronzer and highlight shades can be mixed together or worn alone to create a head turning sun-kissed look. For best results, sweep across cheeks with a powder or bronzer brush.

Where to purchase:

1. Ulta Beauty – retails for $12.99 here

2. Amazon – retails for $9.99 here for Amazon Prime members

First Impressions: When applied after setting my face with Maybelline’s Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder (available at Ulta Beauty here) – it applied seamlessly. I used the second shade from the palette to bronze and the last shade to deepen to hollows of my cheeks. For foundation reference I use shade 5.0 in Urban Decay and highly recommend the All Nighter Foundation (available here) as this has replaced MAC’s Prolongwear Foundation. It lasts’ the longest on my oily skin. The third to the last shade in The Master Bronze is too orange on its own. The Master Bronze, however, is created to customize one’s own bronzer. The highlighter, unfortunately, accentuated my pores. I will be using this elsewhere like the cupids bow, inner eye corner highlight etcetera.

The second bronze shade at first glance and swatch appeared to be sparkly. When applied to the face I did not detect any large chunks of glitter. As I picked the product up with a brush, it did kick up powder. With that said, I think this may be the reason why it applied and looked better than I thought it would. My favorite bronzers typically “kick up” which is a good sign to me as it indicates quality pigmentation. I recommended using a clean, large face powder brush to blend everything together as this palette does create a sun-kissed glow that costs’ less than many high-end brands.

  2. Lovely review! I really like the orange shade, This can be used for travelling as it has everything except for a good highlight as you said it accentuates pores, for that a different product can be used such as “champagne pop” by becca. I would love to see a review on the “Curvitude liner” I heard good things about it, I’d love to see a comparison between it and Maybelline’s “Master precise liner” liner 💕And your take on how long lasting is and how easily it can come off 🌸 Sc -itsn00r
