Hi there (again, today). I have a medley of Maybelline products that were sent to me and a few items I purchased in store. My first impressions of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Curvitude Mascara, Maybelline Fit Me Blush Pink Rose Swatch, Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter Swatch, Maybelline MakeupShayla Swatches will all be tackled on here and now.
1. Maybelline Lash Sensation Curvitude has beat out its original version, in my opinion. It stays true to the same formula, perhaps a bit more fibrous. The curve in this wand makes application extremely easy. It tugs straight into my lash roots adding instant curl. I purchase shade Blackest Black. All I need is one swipe to achieve my desired look. The non waterproof formula captured here does not flake and is eye contact user-friendly. There are many mascaras out there in the market that promise and perform the same. Here we have a mascara to which the price is right. Retailing at $8.99 here at Ulta Beauty. Recommended: yes, in waterproof.
2. Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Gold (gifted product from Maybelline) has taken drugstore highlight to its finest. Soft at touch, out of this world in pigmentation and performance. This highlighter has become back-up status with numerous people for a reason. At $9.99 a pop – this has been comparable to $30 highlighters from high-end brands. Available here at Ulta. Recommend: yes.
3. Fit Me Blush in shade 25 Rose Pink has instantly become my favorite. The finish imparts a pearlescent and luminous sheen from my apples to high points of my cheeks. This blush compliments my medium skin tone well. The formula is easily picked up by a brush – some may say that this is powdery so be cautious at the amount carried to be tapped off before applying. The price is right at $5.99 a pop here at Ulta online. Recommended: absolutely.
4. The City Mini Palette x Shayla is a beautiful assortment of fall ready eyeshadows (gifted product from Maybelline). This City Mini Palette stands out to the already released six City Mini’s (previously swatched here). I haven’t the chance to play with this palette yet. Please see the swatches below. Retailing for $9.99 at Ulta Beauty here – currently out of stock.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts on today’s drugstore makeup? I’m currently impressed with drugstore releases myself.
